Not worth it / pain to cancel

Don't waste your money. I let it go for a while - that was a mistake.

I just wanted my credit score. They had a million ways to try and keep you. Then you forget about it and there's a charge for thirty bucks coming up every month. And you try to remember to cancel.

But you forget. And then it shows up again. Its a scam. They want you to not pay attention so they can tax you essentially.

There is no way to cancel online. Of course. You call - sit on hold for a half hour waiting for someone. When you call they speak broken english and they go on a series of pitches trying to keep you.

It was a waste. I'm sorry I ever signing up for it.

Scoresense Credit Report Review from Bellevue, Washington

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Hello, i was looking i to buying a house through a income program. While doing the application i was told to apply for score sense in order for them to get my credit report. Once i applied i was told to cancel within 7 days so i wouldn't be charged. I did and i was still charged $39.95 once i called i was told that they were not going to refund my money because i did not call. They said they had no record of ne calling which is a lie. I was then offered 1 month free i declined but they said it was in the system and they couldn't change it, however they assured me my accou t would be cancelled. I didn't think anything else about it until i tried to pay a bill and couldn't. I then pulled up my account and saw that scoresense has been charging for three months. I called and went off they said it was mistake and that my account would have to go through the refund department to see if i can get approved for a refund. I then went off again they let me speak to a manager she approved my refund. I revceived my email and in the email it was only for 2 i called back and was told that my 3rd one would have to be approved because they can only authorize 2. I went off again. Then she said they didn't have to refund anything but they did it as a courtesy. I went off again. Then i found out this company steals, and tries to force you to pay and stay with them. They are a ripe off and i hope they get shut down soon.

Product is DEFINITELY not worth the money... and that FREE week - not free. I called to cancel my membership, they talked me into trying it for 1 more week "for free" then ripped me off for $40 bc I accepted their free week. Any company doing so bad they have to rip ppl off for $40 is obviously ***..

Your review on this service is a joke, they have a job to do. And you probably went along and treated the poor agent who took your call like *** right?

Your how old? you cant read the fine print of a membership.

You can't be kind to someone going through offers with you.

You just be a ***?

Thats the way to go about life.

You people who blame your mistakes on a company are a joke.

Fraud

As stated, they tell you online that for $1, you can get your credit score. In the small print they also sign you up for a trial credit monitoring period. If you don't cancel before free trial ends, they quietly begin charging your credit card $30/month. You receive no email or notice of the monthly charge. It just shows up and will keep charging you for years if you don't stop it. Again, you receive no notice of their credit monitoring service. No letter, no email, nothing. Don't even try dealing with them on the phone about the charges. Call your credit card fraud department and report all their charges as fraudulent. I received a complete credit/refund. Several States have sued them and won on this.

Awful people to deal with, Beware before signing...!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Beware of this...! I signed up for a 7 day trial by paying $1 after that they kept charging my credit card for $40 every month without any notification. I happened to check my credit card transactions to find this out. If they are straight forward, they should have sent a notification that they are going to charge for this service a few days in advance like many other companies do. When I discovered this, I cancelled my membership by calling them but they refused to refund my two months payment for which they never provided any service. It looks to me that they wanted to make most of the innocent customers as soon as possible and run away from business by the time complaints pile up. Its funny that you rely on these people who are behind money to protect your credit from fraud... Credit Karma is much better for free...!

They work with other companies as well

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I went shopping for a mortgage I ran across a company that wanted to offer me a loan. I did not realize that I was speaking with a credit repair company as they never identified themselves as credit repair, only as a company that brokers loans. I did think it was a bit unusual for them to ask for a credit card number to "verify" my credit score. However I gave them this information. After they found that my credit was fine and I would qualify for a mortgage they passed me on to an actual loan officer at Wells Fargo. A week or two after the initial call I get a text from my credit card company that says a charge of $39.95 was charged to my card from someplace named Score Sense. It was easy to *** out this charge since I only use that credit card for vacations. I called up Score Sense after finding out their customer service number and spoke with a CSR. After 15 minutes of me explaining that I was never told that I would be signing up for a service and of her trying to sell me other services she said that the charge was removed. I checked my account 12 days later and find that the charge was not removed. I call Score Sense customer service again. The new CSR states that she found no request to remove the charges but she would put a request in to see if it can be removed. I explained that this shouldn't be a request. This should simply be them removing a charge for a service that I didn't ask for. I Immediately called my credit card issuer and explained what happened. They are currently investigating the issue and has credited my account. The strange thing is: I couldn't use the service even if I wanted to since I never received any login information. I don't blame Score Sense as much as I blame the credit repair company that was upfront with what was really happening. Score Sense should pay closer attention to who they're dealing with. They should also promptly return any funds when someone didn't consciously sign up for their service.

Either you did not read what I wrote or this is just a canned response. I've spoke with your client representatives and their answer was: we will see what we can do.

So the next step was the credit card issuer to let them sort things out.

The arrogance of a company to bill you for something that you did not want and then put in "requests" to some mystery department to have the money returned.

You should be ashamed.

Being Tricked

I paid a $1 fee for a one time score check and have since had $39.95 taking from my debit card. This is outrageous! I want this to stop. Cancel the account out and want to have my money deposited back into my account asap! I am on Disability and cannot afford to pay this for checking my credit score. Please speak to the appropriate people and contact me via email or phone to let me know this issue has been taken care of immediately or I will call your company until I get answers.

Scoresense Charge Review from Bellevue, Washington

Updated by user Nov 30, 2015

I'm not from Bellvue Washington. To be totally transparent, I reside in the sunny State of Florida in the Tampa Bay region, which is on the Gulf Coast or west coast of the state.

Original review Nov 30, 2015
Yes I too have been eroneously charged since April of 2014 @ $29.95 per month x 19 months would be a total just shy of $600. I called and had the unauthorized account CLOSED with the first representative trying to sell me every product or service under the sun. Obviously I refused anything from their organization whatsoever but she said she could only hit seven (7) monthly refunds, and once they were refunded, i would have to call back to get the remaining submitted for refund. Well guess what, I got a whopping total of $29.95 refunded to my credit card and had to call scoresense.com back once again to do the same ole song and dance. This time I was sent to a refund specialist. She was able to immediately refund x1 more month and put a formal request into upper mgmt to refund the remaining dozen plus months x $29.95 still due back to me. So after exercising great patience I have to say its starting to wear thin with all the unnecessary time and effort I'm putting into receiving my own money back, which was charged to my card without my authorization or knowledge whatsoever. I have been a happy customer of lifelock going on three (3) years, which happened to be my saving grace as my credit card noticed I had the same service being charged monthly from two (2) unrelated entities / companies. I just wish it would've been caught 20 months ago and can promise the executive committee of scoresense.com that if I don't receive every last penny back that I will make such a big deal of this matter, they wish they never came up with their SCAM in the first place. I sit on the board of and operate a multi - national organization, which has been in business since the early 1900's. The only reason we're still in business is because we operate our business with honesty, loyalty and respect for every one of our customers and clients alike. I'm shocked that someone would operate a company within the financial services industry like a true scam or bait and switch operation! Shocking at best.

Scorescense is a scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I looked for the free credit report by the Feds and somehow Scorescense Poped up. I didn't even know I was purchasing a trial membership.

I never received an email with my membership so I could cancel. I have been going paperless on most of my charges so I didn't realize it until 3 months later that I had been paying for the membership.

I put in a complaint with Scorescense but they refused to refund my money. I got my credit card company involved and was refunded.

Scammed

I too was scammed. I thought I was in the Expedian site to get my FICO scores but found out they had no record of me. I went to my checking account and found out that it taken out by Scoresense. So now I have to try and get my money back. Wish me luck! Oh so now I have to put in at least 80 words. There are some words that I would like to add but won't. But maybe I should!
